What is spiritual awakening?

How do you know you are going through this and why?

It can be a period that is confusing, lonely, alienating, frustrating, unsettling, and you may feel like your life has been turned upside down and inside out. You may feel like you did not 'sign up' for this! 'Why me?' questions seem to be at the forefront of your thoughts. You may be challenged physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It often happens very suddenly without much warning as a consequence of a major shift/upheaval in your life.

Why? The universe is telling you it is time to grow, to level up, to be who you have come here to be. Know that you are never given anything you cannot handle, and that all happens in divine timing (even though you may not think so at the time). When you are 'in' the awakening period, it all seems overwhelming, too hard and you may feel you just can't handle any more. It is only when you have come through the other side that you will look back and see the silver linings, the personal growth, the wisdom and the new version of you that was waiting to be given the opportunity to bloom, grow and evolve into; the amazing potential you have always carried within. Like a seed that is waiting for the perfect conditions from which to germinate and grow through unforeseen circumstances.

These life upheavals are the disguised life lessons you asked for before you came into this life. You planned these with your own Spiritual Guides, based on your past life experiences and lessons not yet learned. You cannot avoid these, (actually you can try with the gift of free will but the lessons will just keep coming back because you put them down for yourself) and they will present themselves when the time is right and 'perfect' for you and your spiritual growth. Once learned, these wisdoms will stay with you from one lifetime to the next, hence the term 'wise soul' (many lessons learned over many lifetimes). These are the people you may see as 'know it alls' but without the ego...wise old souls here to teach us through their past life and present life experiences.

So what kind of signs and symptoms can indicate you may be going through spiritual awakening? Know that these are not extensive, and that each person is on their own personal journey, and may feel these in various degrees. There are many other signs and symptoms. This is a guide to get you started. You can do further research. The aim of this is to give you a sense of relief. You are not going mad. It is not all in your head! You are certainly not the only one feeling like you do and yes there is a bigger picture. It is a normal spiritual growth process and part of ascension, for you are a spiritual being (soul) here in a temporary physical body (human) going through this bootcamp called Earth with the soul purpose of spiritual growth and evolution. Just know that some of us put down bigger lessons than others, so there must not be any judgement. We are all on unique journeys, unique to our soul's growth.

If you have experienced a spiritual awakening, you have come through and realised the illusions of this world, and have noticed many people are just not on the same page as yourself. You will feel the urge to 'wake them up'. They are on their own journey and will go through their own awakening when and if they are ready, in the way perfect for them according to where they are in their journey at the time. Until then, hold the space for them, love them unconditionally, and be there for them in the way they require at any given time. Remember all in divine timing for each soul.

Signs and symptoms of Spiritual Awakening

• you may feel lost and abandoned, alone

• physically tired like you feel like giving up

• you have this innate feeling like you are meant to be doing something really important/different

• your work and life no longer feel fulfilling and you yearn for and look for your purpose

• the interest you one once had no longer interest you

• your friends and/or family seem different, you are told you are different

• your values are changing

• food preferences change, exercise change, sleep patterns change

• you notice you are becoming more intuitive and empathic with other people

• you begin to wonder about the deeper meaning of life, why things happen the way they do

• you begin to re-evaluate your beliefs

• your dreams become more vivid as if you are there

• you observe more synchronicities like seeing number patterns over and over, usually 11:11 to begin with. I sign the universe is trying to get your attention

• you notice de-javu, feeling you have been a place before or known a person before, seemingly forever (not in this lifetime)

• your relationships change/shift

• you notice manipulation between people/circumstances more easily and dislike it

• you begin to have a higher interest or new interest in spirituality

• you have a desire to be of service and to give back, and your 'teachers' find you because you are ready. 'When the student is ready the teacher will come'

• you feel drawn to and connected more to nature

• your senses are heightened

• you may feel body aches and pains as your carbon body is transferring into a crystalline one (higher vibration)

• you may experience a change in your daily habits and routine

• you have more compassion

• you may feel like you are different and don't belong because you have grown and outgrown your friends you begin to question everything you once knew
